Mammoth Lakes Film Festival is the premiere festival dedicated to discovering and supporting the next generation of filmmakers.

Join us at this year's inaugural Eastern Sierra Mountain Film Festival April 23-25.

ESMFF is a festival that is created as an off-shoot of the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival and is committed to screening some of the best films that celebrate Mountain Culture and the Environment. This year's event is virtual and free tickets are available through the link above.

MLFF is a five-day festival that screens independent features and shorts in the spectacular setting of Mammoth Lakes—California’s premier mountain resort, high in the Eastern Sierras usually held over Memorial Day weekend. Due to the pandemic, our 7th annual Mammoth Lakes Film Festival, will be moved to September 22-26. We will do our best to hold it as a live, in-person event.

We are the west coast premier destination for films such as Damsel starring Robert Pattinson and Mia Wasikowska, to world premiere new discoveries like Netflix favorite Abducted in Plain Sight and many more.

Named as one of the Top 50 Festivals Worth The Entry Fee by Movie Maker Magazine in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, & 2020 MLIFF showcases the work of emerging, innovative filmmakers against the backdrop of California's ruggedly beautiful Eastern Sierra. Industry professionals provide mentoring and support, relationships and collaborations are actively promoted and nurtured.

We take chances on talented but little-known artists and are committed to discovering new voices that will shape the future of film. Numerous films from our festival have gone on to great success, including Academy Award nominations, and have gone on to screen at many other festivals.
